No, I didn’t retire from writing about retirement. If you didn’t notice, MrFireStation.com went offline on Monday and it took me a few days to figure out what happened.
Thanks to everyone who let me know about the problem. There were many of you – which was strangely gratifying.
I initially had no idea what happened and my web hosting company doesn’t have the best website to help figure it out. It took a couple try’s and a couple days.
It turns out the credit card they have on file for me had simply expired. I got a new card (with a different #) about 6 months ago and I needed to update it. In the meantime, the site was removed and you all had a chance to buy my domain name yourself!
The good news is the site has “re-propagated” (their term) – which takes about 48 hours. I think everything is working and all of the historical posts are back online. At some point, I need to back-up the posts for posterity’s sake. I’ve never bothered to keep an offline version of anything.
In short, thanks for standing by. Hopefully, we’ll be good until my credit card changes again!
