  1. There are no shortcuts. Often those who who were dealt a lesser hand in life in terms of intelligence, resources, and where they were educated get ahead of those who were born on third base.

    1. For sure. I never went to Harvard, but had the unfortunate job of letting a few people go that were Harvard alumni.

    I’ve mentored dozens of folks over the years on finances and life in general. I’ve said to each, the answers are very simple, but never easy.

    Unfortunately, most are looking for easy…

    1. I bet many are all in until they find out that your secret involves hard work and frugal spending habits. Doesn’t seem like much fun. Saving to be financially independent 20 – 25 years in the future sounds like a long ways off, until they look back over the last 25 years and are still wondering if you will ever be able to afford to retire.
