I’ve mentored dozens of folks over the years on finances and life in general. I’ve said to each, the answers are very simple, but never easy.

I bet many are all in until they find out that your secret involves hard work and frugal spending habits. Doesn’t seem like much fun. Saving to be financially independent 20 – 25 years in the future sounds like a long ways off, until they look back over the last 25 years and are still wondering if you will ever be able to afford to retire.
